HELPING OUR FEATHERED FRIENDS

Russell's Rescue is dedicated to providing a safe haven for birds in need. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate corvids (crows, jackdaws, magpies and rooks) or to offer a referral system for ravens and jays in Charlton Kings, Cheltenham and the surrounding areas. We also offer some sanctuary for birds who cannot be released but can still live happily in captivity.

We are a small, family run, home rescue with limited capacity, which ensures that all of our birds get one-to-one support without compromising their welfare.

"Lovely people who really care about the welfare of the birds. The birds are clearly very happy and living their best lives! Thank you for supporting such beautiful birds that many people overlook and do not fully appreciate"

Raven Cheltenham

TRAINING AND EDUCATION

Our outreach and education programme focuses on educating the community about bird care, behaviour, and conservation. We organise online and in-person training, attend local community events and participate in speaking opportunities.

We promote awareness and understanding of birds' needs and the challenges they face, both in the wild and captivity.

By supporting Russell's Rescue you are helping to make a difference in the lives of these beautiful birds!

Meet the Team

Here at Russell's Rescue we are a small family team; we also have a group of dedicated volunteers and animal care experts who help us out from time to time.

Guiding principles and services

We dedicate our life to saving birds and helping raise awareness in our local communities, you can clilcik on the links to our guiding principles below.

Raven Cheltenham

Our main mission and goal is always in rescue and rehabilitation. We have successfully released hundreds of birds and provide long-term support to those who need time to heal.

Corvid rescue Cheltenham

We believe that some birds can live happily in captivity, providing that all of their needs are met. This is a very challenging position, as we need to constantly evaluate their welfare and quality of life, to ensure that it is in their best interests.

Tristan Motteram

We are passionate about community outreach and have appeared globally at events and on TV to make a difference. We offer speaking opportunities and are passionate about coaching other Avian Caregivers.
